A baby called Jonah (name given by Wondang-ki Orphanage Home), whose parents were not there
when he needed them the most. Jonah’s biological parents were not in a situation to give him birth.
However, there was a barren couple who were willing to adopt him. So this couple asks the mother
to give birth. But unfortunately he was born with clubfoot deformity on 24th June 2014 in Tuensang
district of Nagaland. This gave a doubt to that particular couple and so they later surrender the baby
to a Social Welfare Agency in their district. With no fault Jonah was going through so much rejection
and discrimination. Later Jonah was brought to Wondang-ki Orphanage Home & Adoption
Centre run by Mr. N. Thungdemo Kikon and his family. With little knowledge about
clubfoot, at first they started Jonah’s treatment at a private hospital which was indeed very
expensive. Fortunately, they have heard about the clubfoot program and approached CURE.
On July 17, 2014 Jonah was enrolled the clubfoot program and after five times cast, he is
now on FAB and is showing great improvement. Today he has been adopted by another
barren couple where he found a new home and is getting all the affection and care of
parents and family. He has been renamed by the family as Ayitsho Jonah Sono.
