Bhavika, a baby girl was brought by her mother Lalita and father Praveen Sharma, 4 years back to a CURE Clubfoot Clinic to get her enrolled for her treatment as she was born with clubfoot deformity. She was just 1 month old when her treatment on Ponseti method started. She underwent 8 weekly casting which was for 2 months and soon after that she was on foot abduction brace. She is now a healthy child with corrected foot, though she still has one more year of her treatment period left, she is leading a normal life. The joy of her parents knows no bound to see their child getting a transformed life through the treatment and they are all with praise and gratefulness for CURE and those involved in their daughter’s treatment like the counsellors, doctors etc. It was a moment of joy to have Bhavika and her parents in CURE International India national office, New Delhi.
The counsellors are like her second parents who have seen her grow and for Bhavika to spend her 4 years with them through continuous follow up and counselling. Children like Bhavika who completes their treatment and are cured are an inspiration and encouragement for the CURE Clubfoot Program.
